Andy Redhead:
During his 20 years with the Metropolitan, and later with Northumbria Police, Andy gained three National Police qualifications becoming one of only a handful of Officers nationally to hold the quite unique combination of the three.
He gained these national qualifications in Rapid Intervention, as a Bodyguard and as a Tactical Firearms Advisor. His unique skills put him in great demand, and subsequently he participated, advised and planned many operations such as Royal/Diplomatic visits, pre-planned and spontaneous firearms responses, dedicated undercover surveillance and anti-terrorist matters. This unique combination of expertise meant that Andy could be called to any hotspot in the UK to support and advise any Police force to bring difficult situations to a conclusion.
He has a wealth of experience in investigation, threat and risk assessment, venue protection, surveillance, reconnaissance and escort protection. This knowledge and experience, usually only available to the Police, is now available commercially from Sec-Tech UK.
During his time with Sec-Tech Andy has been involved with close protection and security planning at several high profile events and conferences. He has protected individuals in the UK and overseas and has carried out investigations and surveillance on three continents.

Last week Sec-Tech entered into a retainer agreement with the BBC for Operations Director Andy Redhead to become their advisor and commentator on Police and Firearms matter.
During the Roaul Moat manhunt in Northumberland earlier in the month Andy was in great demand by the world's media because of his previous experience as a Police Firearms National Tactical Advisor.
The agreement means that in the event of the BBC calling upon Andy to advise on any police and firearms related incidents in the UK, he will become embedded with the BBC News team however will still be available for interviews with other channels inbetween BBC interviews.
