Tulisa Kidnap

The home of Tulisa Contostavlos was the source of more drama when police apprehended two men following claims that she was about to be kidnapped.

Officers raced to sprawling Hertfordshire mansion Edge House after they were spotted ‘acting suspiciously’ outside the gated property on Wednesday evening.

It’s understood that an emergency call was placed from inside the mock-Georgian spread, leading to four police cars and a dog unit racing to the scene in the early hours of the morning.

The men in question are understood to have been driving a ‘dark coloured car’ around 25-year-old Tulisa’s £6 million home, prompting fears that she was being targeted by potential kidnappers.

With no crime committed the pair were questioned at the scene before being sent on their way, but cautious officers made sure the surrounding area was thoroughly searched before giving the green light.

Tulisa’s drama echoes a similar incident involving singer Joss Stone – the target of an attempted kidnap in 2011.

Speaking to The Sun, former Met Flying Squad commander John O’Connor admitted Tulisa’s high-profile status makes her a possible target for kidnappers.
He said: ‘Tulisa is much more likely to be a kidnap victim than the average member of the public. If police have resources available at the time they should use them. It keeps everyone on their toes.’

Hertfordshire police have since confirmed the incident.

A spokesperson said: ‘We were called at 10:23pm to reports of suspicious behaviour of two men in a vehicle outside a property. Both men were spoken to.
‘As a precaution, we also searched the area. We were satisfied no crimes had occurred.’
